The 23 year old GM Anton
Korobov has won the Ukrainian
championship which took place
from December 10 to December
20 at the Hotel Raziotel in Kiev.
Korobov lost to GM A.Kovchan in
the opening round, but bounced
back and ended up scoring 5,5
points in 9 rounds. GMs Kuzubov,
Moiseenko and Ponomariov followed
in the next places, scoring 5 points.
In the women`s section IM Nataliya
Buksa won with 7 points in 9 rounds.
IM Inna Gaponenko took 2nd place
with 6,5 points while IM Julija Osmak
