Nevednichy (2153).Dr. Friedbert Prüfer also made a draw, so SF Leipzig
won 2,5-1,5 against Moldova and SF Leipzig ended up in a fine 4the Place.
Sankt Petersburg won after a quick 2-2 draw against Russia Women in
the last round.Israel and Russia followed on the next places.

GM Nils Grandelius er ny svensk mester.Grandelius ledet hele veien i
Sunne, men GM Emanuel Berg vant finalen i siste runde, slik at begge
spillere endte på 6,5 av 9. Dermed måtte det spilles stikkamp. Her var
Grandelius sterkest og vant 1,5-0.5.GM Erik Blomqvist ble nummer 3 med

Det ble levert mye kampsjakk også under 4.runde av Paleohora Open
søndag.Fem mann deler ledelsen med 4 poeng, blant dem GM Aleksander
Kharitonov som er fast gjest i Paleohora.Hjemmehåpet Nikolas Theodorou
har også full pott etter en sterk seier mot GM Sipke Ernst i 4.runde.
Blant de norske er FM Ørnulf Stubberud og Øystein B.Fossum best med 3
poeng.5.runde spilles kl.17.30 gresk tid, 16.30 norsk tid.

in a match where FM Manfred Böhnisch and FM Manfred Schöneberg
drew their games. Matchwinners were Dr.Friedbert Prüfer and Robert
Beltz with wins on the last two Boards.We also mention that Joachim Hollstein
from Fortuna Leipzig played a draw for his team Stiftung BSW-DBAG II,
but his team lost 1,5-2,5.The 7th round will be played today at 10 o`clock
with the match SF Leipzig-England. This match will be shown live.
After 6 rounds St.Petersburg has a clear lead with 11 teampoint. Then
follows Russia and Israel with 9 teampoints. SF Leipzig is in 7th place With
fewer individual points.

Grandmaster Vadim Milov (second to the left) is new Swiss champion after
beating GM Alexandra Kosteniuk 1,5-0,5 in the tiebreak-match. Both
players made 6,5 points after 9 rounds. The tournament winner was GM
Christian Bauer with 7,5 points.To the left we see junior champion FM
Patrick Grandadam and senior champion Hans-Georg Morger.The tournament
was played in Leukerbad.

Steffen Hoffmann (left) and his opponent Gunter Handke travelled with
the rest of the chess club Fortuna Leipzig to Papstdorf in the Sächsischen
Schweiz not far away from Dresden and the Czech Republic.Their they
had a training camp before the chess season which starts up With team
matches in September. Before then they stage some Blitz Grand prix-
