Manuel Pietzsch from SG Leipzig played excellent chess under
the Rostocker Open. He ended up as number 3 with 5,5 points after
7 rounds. Manuel beat the Polish IM Marcin Szelag in the 4th round.
He ended up with the same points as Number 2, GM Stellan Brynell,
from Sweden. GM Rene Stern from König Tegel Berlin won all his
seven games. Impressive! But Manuel could travel home with 200
euros after some days play in Rosctock. Not bad!
