Shirov in the Latvian Rapid championship at the weekend. Still Shirov
won with 7 points after 9 rounds after beating IM Nikita Meskovs in the
8th round. Meskovs also had 7 points, but fewer Berger-points.Lithuanian
GM Aloyzas Kveinys snatched the 3rd place with 6,5 points.Miezis finished
in 5th place with 6 points.
