The israeli grandmaster Boris Gelfand won in great style against the italian stallione
Fabiano Caruana in the 2nd round of the Tal Memorial. Gelfand has joined the leader
group with 1,5 points.Up there is also GM Magnus Carlsen who played a solid draw against
GM Sergej Karjakin with the black pieces in the Berlin-defence. Exworldcahampion Vladimir
Kramnik lost the thread in the middlegame against GM Hikaru Nakamura and suffered his
second defeat.The games Andreikin-Anand and Morozevich-Mamedyarov ended draw.
After two rounds Carlsen, Gelfand and Mamedyarov are the leaders with 1,5 points.
The 3rd round starts today at 1 pm (13.00 CET).The games are Carlsen-Caruana, Anand-
