SG Leipzig with FM Matthias Liedtke (right) played an important
Oberligamatch against Rochade Magdeburg today. Matthias made a
quick draw against his old mate, FM Mike Stolz. Next to him we can see
Martin Niering with white beating FM Stephan Rausch as white in
a Winaver French.
FM Hendrik Hoffmann (right) fought brave in a tough ending with
bishop against rook. Opponent Nathalie Wächter did not find the
win which I thought was there. But Rochade won the match 5-3.
I played a draw against Dominik Jaeger as white in a sicilian. He spent
much time, but I did not manage to find anything. I offered a draw in
his time trouble when he had a little advantage. He accepted.
In another match in Sportforum in Leipzig, Coswig beat SG Leipzig 2
4,5-3,5 in a match where Steffen Weitzer and Frank Dietze played
strong games and won. Both Leipzig-teams must fight in the last
rounds in May to avoid relegation. Aufbau Elbe Magdeburg leads
the Oberliga Ost A with 16 points, two more then USV TU Dresden 2
which lost to Nickelhütte Aue today.
