IM Cliff Wichmann from Nickelhütte Aue plays in the Kieler Open which
starts tomorrow in harbour city in Schleswig-Holstein. The tournament
will last until Friday 8.August.The players will play 9 rounds. The first
price is 1200 euros. GM Vadim Malakhatko is the top seed. GM Leonid
Voloshin, GM Turner, GM Lanka and GM Stopa will also participate. Follow
the tournament on the homepage.1st round starts Saturday 12.00. There
will be double rounds on Saturday and Sunday. On the picture Cliff (left)
plays against Markus Hermann at the Sachsenchampionship in rapidchess
in Leipzig in May.
