Frode Lillevold from Strømmen capitalized on a big error from IM Frode
Elsness in the 2nd round of Fagernes Chess International. Elsness made
the same blunder as Kramnik did in the candidates tournament and allowed
a bishop sac on h7 (h2) then picking up the rook on f8. Lillevold converted
the advantage to secure a fine victory. Lillevold is now the best norwegian
player with 1,5 points. Eight players lead with 2 points, among them GM
Evgeny Romanov. Today there will be the only double round in Fagernes.
