The Rumanian grandmaster Liviu-Dieter
Nisipeanu has won the open tournament in
Ortisei in South Tirol in Italy. The tournament was
part of the Server 24-Chess-Festival. Nisi
scored 7 points in 9 rounds beating the Russian
grandmaster Sergey Volkov on better Buchholz
quality. The German grandmaster Igor Khenkin
was third with 6,5 points after drawing the Lithuanian
GM Aloyzas Kveinys in the last round. Kveinys
ended up in 9th place with 6 points.
