Leipzig Open:Interesting fighting chess

The 2nd round of the Leipzig Open also gave much fighting chess
One of those who fought hard was Rüdiger Kürsten (in grey jersey).
The Leipziger who works in Greifswald had an interesting game.

Leonard Richter (above left) played the Aljechin gambit in French
(1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.e5 Nfd7 5.h4!?) and got a strong attack
which brought him material. I think he will win this game. We see
Alex Nguyen (nearest camera) who played Hubert Reimann.

Tom John (right) played active in his game this morning. It looked
as though he had an advantage.

The rating favourite, GM Mikhail Simantsev, from Kharkov in Ukraine
(left) had to work hard in his game this morning against a 2000-player.

I won with black in 2.Sc3 a6 sicilian. My opponent Thomas Noack
blundered a piece away and gave up. I now have 2 points.
The third round starts 16.00.
