Today there was a new double round of the Leipzig Open.
The top rated GM Mikhail Simantsev (left) dropped a draw against
me in the 7th round. In the 8th he has white against Dr.Thomas Meier.
Leonard Richter (right) beat IM Cliff Wichmann with Kings Indian
Defence and now has 6 points.
IM Dmitry Mischuk (right) lead after the 7th round. Here he is black
against GM Mikhail Ivanov in the 8th round. This game is not yet
finished. Check the results. I have 5 points after losing to CM Steffen
Weitzer in the 8th round. The 9th and last round starts Sunday at
10.00.
