Sinquefield Cup: Magnus beats Caruana

World Champion Magnus Carlsen beat GM Fabiano Caruana in the 2nd
round of the Sinquefield Cup in St.Louis. It was a really exciting Ruy Lopez
game where both players spent much time. In the 40th move Caruana
blundered in big timetrouble with only one second left for the last move.
He immediately resigned. A very important win for Magnus who has 1 point
of 2. Ex worldchampion Veselin Topalov leads with 2 points after having
beaten GM Hikaru Nakamura as white.GM Alexander Grischuk beat GM
Vishy Anand and has 1 point. The games Giri-So and Vachier-Lagrave-
Aronian ended draw. Both these players have 1,5 points and share 2nd
place with 1,5 Points.Read more about the 2nd round in ChessBase.
