Ulibin wins the open Serbian championship


Grandmaster Mikhail Ulibin (left) from Russia won the open Serbian
championship in Paracin after beating GM Suat Atalik from Turkey in the
last round. Ulibin scored 7,5 points in 9 rounds. GM Igor Miladinovic, Serbia,
GM Borko Lajthajm, Serbia and Evgeny Gleizerov, Russia, followed in the
next places with 7 points. WIM Ellen Hagesæther was best of the Norwegian
participants with 4,5 points. Ellen made a good tournament earning 12 elopints
after having beaten IM Zoran S.Illic from Serbia with black in the 7th round.
Ellen came in 47th place. Alf Roger Andersen also made a good tournament
with 4,5 points and 52nd place. Alf Roger earned himself 5 elopoints after
having beaten FM Zoran Todic from Serbia in the 8th round.
