Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen will play his first major tournament in the US when he plays
the Sinquefield Cup from September 9-15. This tournament will be a double round robin
where Magnus meets GM Levon Aronian, GM Hikarua Nakamura and GM Gata Kamsky.
The tournament will be played at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis.
The prize fund will be 170 000 dollars. This will probably be the last tournament Magnus
plays before he meets the World Champion Vishy Anand in November.Read more on
